This feature enables the attendant to query the status of trunk groups from the attendant console. This "snapshot" of the status enables the attendant to advise callers of network congestion.
Trunk group busy status provides the following features:
Traffic "snapshot" viewing without disrupting call processing (the On Hold window is not disturbed)
Access through a special function key
Console screen display showing the busy status of all outgoing trunk groups
Softkey applications to scroll by screen, request printouts, and update trunk status.
This feature is not supported on the MiVoice Business Console.
This feature does not require programming.
5540 IP Console
You access trunk busy on the attendant console by pressing the Trunk Status firmkey.
The Trunk Groups softkey provides the following information:
all trunk groups (a maximum of nine per screen)
percentage of trunks which are currently in use.
The following table shows the operation of the Trunk Groups softkey (see example of console display).

first nine trunk groups is displayed. A prompt for a group number
appears on the display.
Enter trunk group number from the dialpad. The Source field displays the entry.
Press Enter. Status is displayed. Softkeys are shown for Print Screen, Print All, Update Status, Previous, Backup and Next.
Press Exit to leave status display. Normal attendant display is returned.
The Digits Dialed softkey is used to enter routing digits. When it is pressed a prompt for the digit string appears in the source field. The information displayed is in the same format as the trunk groups status display (see sample digits dialed display).
The following table lists the steps necessary to implement the Digits Dialed option:

NOTE: A maximum of 12 digits may be entered.
After selecting the Trunk Groups softkey or the Digits Dialed softkey, the softkeys are displayed.
The Update softkey changes the display to reflect the new status of trunk groups currently on the screen.
The Print Screen softkey is used to request a printout of the information currently on the screen. A sample printout is shown in the following table.

The Print All softkey evokes printing of the trunk group status information for all trunk groups. This softkey appears when there are additional trunk groups. When Next is pressed the status of the next nine trunk groups is displayed.
The Previous key is used to display the previous nine trunk groups.
The Backup softkey returns to the previous display.
