Trunk Group Busy Status

Description

This feature enables the attendant to query the status of trunk groups from the attendant console. This "snapshot" of the status enables the attendant to advise callers of network congestion.

You access trunk busy on the attendant console by pressing the Trunk Status firmkey.

The Trunk Groups softkey provides the following information:

Step Action Remarks

  1. Press Trunk Status key. The normal attendant display is replaced by the Status screen.

  2. Press Enter
    - OR -
    Press Trunk Groups. Information about the first nine trunk groups is displayed. A prompt for a group number appears on the display.

  3. Enter trunk group number from the dialpad. The Source field displays the entry.

  4. Press Enter. Status is displayed. Softkeys are shown for Print Screen, Print All, Update Status, Previous, Backup and Next.

  5. Press Exit to leave status display. Normal attendant display is returned.

Digits Dialed Softkey

The Digits Dialed softkey is used to enter routing digits. When it is pressed a prompt for the digit string appears in the source field. The information displayed is in the same format as the trunk groups status display (see sample digits dialed display).

  1. Press Trunk Group Status key.
    The normal attendant display is replaced by the Status screen.

  2. Press the Digits Dialed softkey.
    The prompt, Enter Routing Digits, appears in the field.

  3. Enter desired digits from the keyboard (see note).
    Entered digits are shown in the Source field.

  4. Press Enter.
    Status is displayed. Softkeys for PrintScreen, Print All, Update Status, Previous Next and Backup are displayed.

  5. Press Exit to leave Status Display.
    Screen returns to the normal attendant display.

NOTE: A maximum of 12 digits may be entered.

Softkey Commands

After selecting the Trunk Groups softkey or the Digits Dialed softkey, the softkeys are displayed.

The Update softkey changes the display to reflect the new status of trunk groups currently on the screen.

The Print Screen softkey is used to request a printout of the information currently on the screen. A sample printout is shown in the following table.

The Print All softkey evokes printing of the trunk group status information for all trunk groups. This softkey appears when there are additional trunk groups. When Next is pressed the status of the next nine trunk groups is displayed.

The Previous key is used to display the previous nine trunk groups.

The Backup softkey returns to the previous display.

Invalid Number

Invalid digit string entered. No trunk group would be accessed with this digit string.

PRINTER RELATED

Error in queueing to printer...check printer

Printer is not plugged into the console or is not powered on.

Error in creating file for printing...try again

Software error or system overload. Repeat request.

STATUS RELATED

System error..Please re-issue command

Possible communication problem between the console and system. Re-enter the command.

TRUNK GROUP RELATED

Invalid Number

Invalid digit string entered. No trunk group would be accessed with this digit string.
